Andrew Christopoulos

Principal (ACT and NSW)

Personal Injury, Financial & Professional Negligence, Insurance, Property, Wills and Estates

Andrew Christopoulos was admitted to practice in 1989 after running a successful business in artist management. He joined a mid-tier insurance based defendant practice and was promoted to the role of managing partner within 12 months. This put him in the enviable (or unenviable, depending on when you asked him) position of servicing most of the insurers in NSW.

A midlife conscience crisis led Andrew to reassess his career and he started AC Lawyers in 2012. He brought 22 years of experience and all the intelligence gathered while working for the dark side along with him.
Andrew shares an intense empathy with his clients. In fact, he drives over 1000kms a week to create and maintain the personal connections that he and his clients form.

This principle is not only at the heart of AC Lawyers but has seen Andrew appointed as a director of the Australian Lawyers Alliance (ALA). The ALA is a national not for profit organisation working tirelessly in advocating for the rights and welfare of individuals in Australia.

In his free time, which equates to roughly 2 hours a week, Andrew is a keen photographer, beach runner, and writer. He is also a Judge and events coordinator for the Australian Chapter of the US National Corvette Restoration Society.

Stephen Legzdin

Principal (Nowra)

Personal Injury, Financial and Professional Negligence and Insurance

Stephen Legzdin heads up the office in Nowra, having moved to the area in 2009. He has worked in personal injury law for more than 20 years, spending roughly half that time as an insurance lawyer. This has given him valuable insight into the way insurers approach and manage claims.

Interestingly, Stephen was actually a presiding officer in the NSW District Court before he decided to become a solicitor.  His experience as a judicial officer means he’s effectively played the game on both sides and been the Ref.

Stephen is fascinated by his client’s stories and makes sure that insurers, assessors and Judges don’t lose sight of the fact they are dealing with real people that have suffered as a result of an accident, and not just a number on a page.

On the rare occasion that Stephen is not in the office, he can usually be found on a golf course, a tennis court, or somewhere in the ocean. He is hoping to do the “Alcatraz swim” before he dies and realises the irony that he may, in fact, die during the swim itself.

Holly Gay

Property, Professional Negligence, Personal Injury, Wills & Estates

Holly joined AC Lawyers as a founding Director in 2012 and has not looked back.

Her experience spans personal injury law and property law.

Holly started her working life in the real estate industry so she has a particularly sound knowledge of property and conveyancing. We like to think she was too much of a sweetheart for the real estate industry.

She has since taken on a consultancy role, specialising in conveyancing and property law. Many of her clients are repeat customers and Holly prides herself on being available and personable in what can be stressful and financially vulnerable transactions.

Holly is a mum and believes her most difficult case to date is the ongoing proceedings against her 1-year-old son regarding his refusal to eat vegetables.
