Personal Injury, Financial and Professional Negligence and Insurance
Stephen Legzdin heads up the office in Nowra, having moved to the area in 2009. He has worked in personal injury law for more than 20 years, spending roughly half that time as an insurance lawyer. This has given him valuable insight into the way insurers approach and manage claims.
Interestingly, Stephen was actually a presiding officer in the NSW District Court before he decided to become a solicitor. His experience as a judicial officer means he’s effectively played the game on both sides and been the Ref.
Stephen is fascinated by his client’s stories and makes sure that insurers, assessors and Judges don’t lose sight of the fact they are dealing with real people that have suffered as a result of an accident, and not just a number on a page.
On the rare occasion that Stephen is not in the office, he can usually be found on a golf course, a tennis court, or somewhere in the ocean. He is hoping to do the “Alcatraz swim” before he dies and realises the irony that he may, in fact, die during the swim itself.
